13 1/2 months old
Here are a few of Madison's recent pictures.
She is a handful. We are constantly chasing her around
and playing with her!
Let's see, as you'll notice in the following
pictures, Madison's hair is getting long.
She hates barrettes in her hair. The only time I can put
it on is when she's
sleeping, but once she finds it, she'll pull it off. We don't
want to cut her hair so in order to keep it away from her
eyes we use baby oil on it.
Ever since she started standing/
walking, I give her a bath in our bathtub instead of the sink.
She loves playing with the water and
sometimes cries when her bath is over.
When we started
switching her over to solid food, she never cared for it
much. She enjoyed the mushy food that was easy to
swallow, but now, she's been taking more bites. Her favorite
is plain bread, plain rice and noodles.
She's now sitting in the toddler car seat facing forward
and I've started sitting in the front seat again. She enjoys
it better because now she can see much more
than just the backseat.
Alright, enough already. I'll try to post more
pictures soon!

I'm so busy!
I know, I know...
It's been a while since my last post. It's tough having a toddler running all around, especially since we never really baby-proofed our house.
Let's see, Madison took her first steps at about 10 1/2 months old. She does prefer walking over crawling but since she hasn't learned how to run, if she needs to get somewhere quickly she'll land on her butt and start crawling. One evening while shopping at Macy's I decided to let her walk. After taking a few steps, she lost her balance and fell (she almost did a face plant onto the hard floor but she caught herself) so I picked her up. She got mad at me because she didn't want to be carried, she wanted to walk by herself so she started screaming. I had to take her outside to calm her down.
She loves using the remote as her telephone. She'll put it by her ear and start talking. When she sees us on the phone, she'll put her hand by her ear as if she's talking on the phone too!
We bought her halloween costume the other week. She had a choice between Elmo, a cow, a horse & a ladybug. As soon as she saw Elmo she grabbed it and wouldn't let go of it.
Thanks for viewing all of Madison's pictures, I'll try to post more soon!

She's getting bigger!!
Madison is almost 11 months old!!
She took her first steps on her own this past week.
She loves it when we sing to her. Her favorite
is "Wheels on the Bus." She and Ryan are always
fighting for the remote. We thought we could trick her
by giving her the remote for the other room, but
she knew it was an imposter. She hasn't said "dad" yet
but she does call me " mum-mum-mum-mum" or
"ma-ma-ma-ma". She's such a big girl. The 12 month
sizes may/may not fit well. The 18 month sizes
fit better on her.

I don't know what to call this pose...
She was giving us her big smile, standing up,
and drinking from her sippy cup all at the
same time.
